Operating Procedures

Each operator should read and understand the following instructions.

1. The ride should not be operated if wind exceeds 20 mph or in rain or lightning conditions.

2. All riders must remove their shoes.

3. Riders must remove loose or sharp objects, hearing aids, and dangling jewelry. Glasses should be removed.

4. No food, drink, gum, animals, face/body paint (dry or wet), or SILLY STRING (any type of spray)

5. Riders should be sorted by size.  Only riders of the same size should be allowed in the ride at the same time.

6. The rated capacity should never be exceeded.  The capacity of the ride is as follows:

15’ Bounces and 3 in 1 Combo’s:

( Combo's only 1 sliding at a time )

Small Children:  7-9                          Medium Children: 4-7                      Teens: 3-4

16’ Slide:

1 climbing - 1 sliding:      All riders must exit after sliding and renter to climb

70’ Obstacle Course:

2 Participants at a time:   Participants must wait to start until others exit

7. The operator should assist the riders when they enter and exit the ride.

8. The operator should position himself/herself in close proximity to the entrance of the ride.

9. To avoid neck and back injuries, FLIPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

10. While the ride is in operation, the operator should watch the riders at all times.  No roughhousing or horseplay should be tolerated. No climbing on the nets is allowed.  Anyone who does not obey the rules after being warned should be asked to exit the ride (operators should to be made to understand that they are in control of the ride…and removing someone from a ride who is not following rules is important for all riders’ safety)

11. The operator must strictly enforce the rules posted on the warning sign.

12. The operator must remain in control of the ride at all times.

13. The operator must make sure kids slide down the slide on there bottom’s ( no jumping down from the top of the slide; or face first sliding )

14. No water on the slide! ( its not a waterslide )

15. NO JUMPING ON THE TOP OF THE SLIDE!!!

16. Installation: Do not remove the inflatable from the area where it was installed. If the inflatable unit moves, pull it by one of its corners back to its original location of installation. Keep the inflatable unit away from swimming pools or lakes at all times.

     

Emergency Procedures

Emergencies can arise for various reasons.  The following are a few examples of emergencies and how they can be handled.  This is strictly a guide…please use common sense when an emergency occurs.

Bad weather can arrive in the form of rain, lightning or strong wind.  In each case you want to evacuate the ride as quickly and safely as possible.

1. Remain Calm!  If you panic your riders may also panic.  Stay calm and stay focused on your job, which is to help your riders exit the ride quickly, but in an orderly fashion.

2. After everyone has exited the ride, deflate the ride by turning off the blowers or fans.

3. Mazes should be folded and taken to a protected area out of the weather. Bounces should be folded over once so that the interior is protected from the weather.

When a loss of power occurs the ride will slowly start to deflate.

1. Remain Calm!  You will have ample time to help your patrons quickly and safely exit the ride.  This situation tends to cause panic…unless the operator stays calm and relaxed.  Talk calmly to those inside the unit telling them not to panic while you're helping them walk out.
2. Check to see if the blowers have come unplugged or the cords are unplugged from the outlet.  If so, plug them back in and the ride will re-inflate.
3. Contact or have someone contact Carnival Bounce Rentals LLC at (248) 231-5421 to check the problem. Do not leave the ride unattended.

If the ride becomes damaged while in your operation, take the following steps.

1. If the ride is ripped or otherwise begins to lose air, assist all riders from the ride and deflate it.
2. Write down what happened, when, and any other details you observed and turn this report in to the Responsible Party.
3. Contact the inflatable company immediately. Do not attempt to continue to operate the ride.
